Project Budget Faster, Cheaper, Better; pick any two. How much a project costs depends on what you buy and over what period of time you buy it. After the User Requirements are completed, QPS can prepare a preliminary budget and provide a quote. After the Individual Systems Specifications and the Project Plan are completed, QPS will have a good idea of what the project will actually cost. QPS encourages customers to not finalize the project budget until after the creation and internal approval of User Requirements, System Specifications and a Project Plan. Having so stated, we recognize the requirement to assure financing before any plan is undertaken. To accommodate the early need for a final price tag, QPS encourages a consulting arrangement whereby we establish a visit and series of meetings to elucidate fundamental user requirements and system specifications. With even basic information, we can establish costing that is superior to hearsay and ballparks. Eventually, a project budget will be established which is firm. Decisions will have to be made about "value engineering". Depending on the size of the project, it may be to the customer's advantage to have regular project budget meetings and to involve QPS personnel with regard to cost cutting and timing decisions. |
